PUMPKIN LOAF WITH STREUSEL

It’s finally fall and that means pumpkin everything is coming out in stores! I have never made anything pumpkin but apparently, tons of people love the pumpkin flavor at this time of year. So instead of buying all the stuff, I thought I would home make it. Cause when you home make things they always taste better.

Pumpkin Loaf with Streusel

Loaf: 1/2 cup Vegetable oil 1 and 1/2 cups All-Purpose Flour 1 cup Granulated Sugar 1 cup Canned Pumpkin 2 Eggs 1/4 tsp. Salt 1/4 tsp. Pumpkin Pie Spice 1/4 tsp. Baking Powder 1/2 tsp. Baking Soda` 1/2 tsp. Ground Cloves 1/2 tsp. Ground Nutmeg 1/2 tsp. Cinnamon

Streusel: 1/3 cup All-Purpose Flour 1/2 cup Brown Sugar 1/4 cup Butter

Add the pumpkin and mix well.

I decided to add chocolate chips to the second loaf to give it something extra special. Don’t forget, with chocolate chips you want to toss them in flour so they don’t sink.

Grease and flour your pans. I sprayed pam in each pan and then sprinkled some flour throughout the bottom and the sides. Then pour in an equal amount of batter.

Add the streusel to the tops of your loaves.

Pop them on the middle rack of your oven and let bake for 60 minutes or until they are cooked through and a toothpick comes out clean.

This is how they look when they come out of the oven.

They come out perfectly clean and ready to serve.

You can let them cool or eat them immediately!

I like cutting loaves like this into pieces that are ready to eat in the morning. Let me know if you try this recipe down in the comments below or on my social media pages. I’m super happy with how it came out and I can say I do like some pumpkin flavored things.🎃 Let’s keep catching the wave! I’ll see yall next week🌊👻

Pumpkin Loaf with Crumble Topping

Prep Time 10 minutes

Cook Time 1 hour

Total Time 1 hour 10 minutes

Servings 1 loaves

INGREDIENTS

Loaf

  • 1/2 cup Vegetable oil

  • 1 and 1/2 cups All-Purpose Flour

  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar

  • 1 cup canned pumpkin

  • 2 Eggs

  • 1/4 tsp. Salt

  • 1/4 tsp. pumpkin pie spice

  • 1/4 tsp. Baking Powder

  • 1/2 tsp. Baking Soda

  • 1/2 tsp. ground cloves

  • 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg

  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Streusel

  • 1/3 cup All-Purpose Flour

  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar

  • 1/4 cup Butter

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat your oven to 325 degrees F.

  2. So I used two smaller pans (because they were way more fall) but you could also use one bigger one. I used two that were about 6 x 6 inches instead of the normal 8 x 5. This could change your cooking time so just be aware! Grease your pans with either Pam or butter and sprinkle with flour.

  3. Begin by mixing the dry ingredients together (flour, sugar, salt, pumpkin pie spice, baking powder, baking soda, ground cloves, ground nutmeg and, cinnamon). I hand mixed everything to avoid extra dishes but you could use an electric too.

  4. Then add the oil and mix until well combined.

  5. Add in the eggs and mix well.

  6. Add the pumpkin and mix well.

  7. In a separate bowl, mix the streusel topping together. I use my hands to make sure everything combined well.

  8. Get your greased pans and add the batter equally to both. Top with the streusel.

  9. Pop them on the middle rack of your oven and let bake for 60 minutes or until they are cooked through and a toothpick comes out clean.
