SAVE THE DATE PHOTO SESSION

This week I don’t have a recipe, a crazy travel diary or a DIY project. I had a spontaneous and last-minute Sunday afternoon I thought I would share with you. I am a very nosy person and love looking at other people’s ideas. Right now, I am not getting married but hundreds of you are! So luckily, my cousin is letting us all have a peek at her save the date photos I took and the lovely date she took me on afterward! First off, congrats to my cousin Lauren and her fiance Austin!! Leave them lovely congrats down below, they are getting married next September!

This was my first time really taking photos for someone and it was really fun! Hopefully, this post gives you inspiration on what to do for your save the dates/ engagement photos/ or any couple photoshoot!

So, Lauren’s original photographer had to cancel so she asked me to help out and I was so excited! We got to the beach around 2 p.m. and spent 2 or 3 hours getting different shots. We went to The Wedge in Newport Beach, a secret little beach in Newport on L Street. This place was special for them so it was a perfect place for their photos. Beforehand, we looked up inspiration for the photos and incorporated ideas that were special to them, as a couple. She wanted a gloomier, cozy and warm vibe to the pictures. Luckily, the clouds were covering the sun and most of our shots were with overcast!

Aren’t they gorgeous?! For my first time really taking photos I made sure I took my time to get the perfect shot! These are super important and there was pressure but making sure I took time and tried different settings helped a lot. It also helps they were patient with me and were already adorable together so it wasn’t too hard to get cute shots.  I have left a few gems out to keep them a secret for family reading this!

Afterwards, they took me to Saddle Ranch Chop House. Clearly, we were starving and we devoured the nachos. We chose to get a few appetizers instead of individual meals.

We also ordered Mini Cheeseburgers and Sweet Potato Fries. Super delicious and filling.

The theory is if you say you haven’t been there before they give a complimentary drink or dessert or appetizer. Since I had never been and our waiter asked, I am assuming we got this complimentary dessert for that. Lauren and Austin said the first few times they went they got complimentary items.  This dessert was soooooo good, it was a tad bit better than BJ’s pazookie, yea I said it.  Somehow it was better than the OG. The restaurant is also a hot spot for fun nights out. There is a mechanical bull inside too that makes it exciting to eat and people watch.  I am so glad I got to take these photos and be a part of their special day! Congrats guys, I cannot wait for the wedding!😍 If you guys enjoy posts about my days or detailing inspiration for different events. Let me know!
