I had a trip planned down to SD to visit my bestie girl Maria who lives down there. We were imagining crafts, holiday vibes, and lots of yapping.

Little did we know, the 5 freeway was going to be shut down on my way to her. Maps didn't start updating with the traffic until I had no other choice but to stay on the 5 the whole way through. Which, if you don't know, the 5 freeway at this point has no exits or alternate routes, just you and the freeway.

There were a couple rest stops and that was it! Maria thought she had found me an alternate path, until I tried to take it and it required me to get access into Camp Pendelton, which was not going to happen. It ended up being about 3 hours of traffic just on a small section of the 5.

Despite almost turning around and going home, we persevered through the traffic and made it safe and sound! She greeted me with wine and snacks ready to go. First things first was making a wine charm for my glass. I went... a little overboard. I can't help that there were so many cute ones.

We spent the evening yapping and crafting. We of course had Wingstop, a tradition my friends love to partake in when we're together. The ribbons we used to make Maria some hanging chain decorations to go in her archways.

We also made some airdry clay crafts. I have been dying to make airdry crafts and I did the little envelope as well as the star shaped hook. The envelope I am going to make a fridge magnet. The hook will be to hang for keys! We definitely didn't have enough time for them to dry so I still need to paint them and do the resin coat but the hand building was definitely the hard part!

I recently saw someone else do this craft with colored clays, so I think I will try that one next. Maybe a solo date to spend some time with myself and be crafty.

We ended our night going to The Lafayette. It was decked out in holiday decor and I loved it! I had not heard about the the hype of the hotel or what made it so unique but after being there I was obsessed. A boutique hotel is just always going to get it right.

There are multiple rooms/bars with different themes and vibes, all the while hotel rooms are up above and a pool right outside. As you can see, during Christmas they decorate it to be on theme.

We got our little slay photos, one cocktail, and called it a night. We did have to sneak up to the hotel hallways.. because security was kicking people out of the lower hallways lol. We were quiet and respectful though so like, its fine hahaha.

I am still learning the settings on my camera and how to get her to work the best for different settings. Hoping each time I use it I learn something new. Also, if you missed it, I bought the Sony ZV E10 when I went to Europe this summer. I am obsessed with the vlogging features and, like I said, I'm learning more and more about the photo features! If you have any advice I am all ears! If you missed my vlogs or want more content of me, make sure you're following me on all my socials! All linked below <3

See ya on the next little adventure.
