Y2K BEER PONG TOURNAMENT

The second beer pong tournament has officially happened! We decided to go for a y2k theme this year cause why not.
Mom and I made a poster, one of our favorite things to do together.
Katie and I were the BillaPong Girls. Really went for leaning into the beachy y2k vibes. I honestly just threw on things I already had, since I already have a ton of beachy stuff. I had this Victoria Secret dress that I thrifted a long time ago, as well as some necklaces and jewelry that matched the vibe.
My favorite thing was the cute little glitter tattoos. Apparently hibiscus flowers were all the rage and I am not mad about it.
We kept decor as low maintenance as possible (me still fully making a poster with my mom LOL) because honestly life has been busy. What mattered most was getting together! So we did a potluck and BYOB and just brought the vibes. We also did a Spotify jam so everyone could queue songs in addition to our playlist.
We had two games going at the same time and did a double elimination bracket. The first one we had some complaints that people wanted more chances to win and losing after one game kind of sucked, and I agreed.
Controversial maybe but we also don't play with beer in the cups, we just fill them with water and have a drink on the side. I'm sorry but there is no need to drink dirty beer.
We obviously took pics on the digi cams and everyone had team names and themed outfits.
I feel like a general theme can help people narrow down some ideas but also totally cool if people just come in a matching vibe of any kind. It was super hot so we did take a swim break between some games.
This years turnout ended up being smaller than our first one which honestly just made the giant check more hilarious. Nonetheless we had so much fun and got to end the day in the jacuzzi.
At the end of the night, we ordered some food and cozied up by the fire to watch the world cup game. A Saturday very well spent <3
This is always a good reminder that get togethers don't need to be expensive or time intensive to be fun! Don't get me wrong, we love those too! But here is your reminder to get together in any capacity as often as possible.
