GO-TO SMOOTHIE

My favorite summertime breakfast is a smoothie. Nothing feels healthier or fresher to get my morning started!

I absolutely love making smoothies for myself and my loved ones! My secret to getting that perfect and creamy smoothie consistency is frozen fruit. I personally think using ice is soooo unnecessary and especially if you have a weaker blender, your smoothie ends up with chunks of ice, and blah, I just do not like it.

I love to play around with this recipe with other fruits I have on hand or chocolate protein powder! Maybe I will share my version of a chocolate protein smoothie later on. You can definitely use different ingredients you have on hand to get a very similar smoothie. They key is balancing your solids and liquids so it doesn't get too liquidy. Once you practice enough, you can build an eye for it!

INGREDIENTS

- 1 Banana, frozen

- ¼ cup Strawberries, frozen

- 1 scoop Protein Powder, Vanilla + Greens

- 1 tsp. Chia Seeds

- 1 tbs Flaxseed

- ½ cup Oat Milk, approximately

- 1 tbs. Nut Butter, of your preference

INSTRUCTIONS
  1. In a blender, start with frozen fruit. Then add the chia seeds and flaxseed. Follow with protein powder, nut butter, and oat milk.

  2. For the oat milk, you want to start slow. If you notice the smoothie isn't coming together add a little more milk.

  3. Blend until combined.

  4. Enjoy!
