I was invited out to spend a couple days in Joshua Tree, CA with my dear friend and client, Alex. She booked a stay at Landing House for a week with her boyfriend and invited friends to pop in when we could. I was able to come Wednesday night until Friday morning with our mutual bestie Tori!

Thursday was going to be our only full day and we did our best to balance relaxation and activities.

Woke up bright and early and jumped into the shower to start my slow morning.

Alex's boyfriend made us some coffee and we relaxed before getting breakfast started.

I got breakfast going and before it was done Tori and I head into town to grab coffee at mas o menos. I actually visited this coffee shop last time I was in Joshua Tree with Alex. It's so cute and I have yet to see it at night time, when it switches to a bar.

By the time we got back, breakfast was ready! We had a full breakfast with waffles, eggs, bacon, and hash browns. The perfect start to the day.

Next up was jacuzzi/pool time. The only plans we had were not until the evening. We soaked up some drinks and sun, all while yapping.

Alex's boyfriend was so sweet and made us some mango margaritas. He had us absolutely fed and constantly with drinks.

Alex also prepped hamburgers and hotdogs for lunch so we ate those by the pool before heading in to get ready. Highly recommend having lunch ready made during breakfast so when lunch comes around its ready to go.

Our evening plans was a trip to Cascade Trails, a sanctuary for all sorts of animals. Our main goal was to take photographs with the horses for some branding photos. We really wanted to have fun and let our creativity flow so this was so much fun.

Like I mentioned Alex is a client of mine and I work for her at her luxury wedding planning company, Earth & Events. I have been working with her for a couple years now and I feel so blessed to be able to have these opportunities to do fun and adventurous things together. Later this year I am going to Europe for a wedding with E&E. I think 12 year old me would think that is pretty cool.

Not to mention our main photos requires us to get on horses, which I had never ridden before.

Our photographer was Brenna Bowen and she got us some previews literally next day! I cannot wait to see the full gallery considering these are the previews.

Also, 10/10 would go horseback riding again, it was so much fun, even though we didn't go on a full ride. I didn't realize how much of a full body workout it would be but it was so fun! I had a horse who really wanted to go for a ride somewhere far so I feel like I did pretty good for my first time keeping in control and staying calm lol.

When we got home from taking photos, we were welcomed home with dinner being made and on display for us to enjoy! I told y'all, Alex's man had it on LOCK!

We ended the night jumping back in the jacuzzi with drinks and yapping. I had premade and brought a chocolate cake with buttercream frosting, topped with whipped cream and cherry compote. It was DIVINE. These two recipes are my staples and I figured I would try something a little different with the topping.

I really appreciate the time we had to connect, create, and refresh. If Joshua Tree had a tagline, it would probably be something like that. JT hit me up if you need some social media marketing help lol.

Can't wait for the next trip and especially can't wait for Europe later this year. Be sure you follow me on Youtube as well so you don't ever miss my vlogs! My most recent one is featuring this trip to Joshua Tree <3
